Comfort enhances driver productivity and helps to combat fatigue. Both are particularly essential in long-haul transport, which is why the Actros places great emphasis on harmoniously combining freedom of movement and a relaxing atmosphere with meeting practical everyday driving needs.

The electronic parking brake with HOLD function combines simpler handling, greater comfort and a higher level of safety. Trailer Stability Assist provides additional safety: It provides preventive stabilisation of trailers/semitrailers in potentially critical driving situations through moderate braking.

The Multimedia Cockpit, interactive is an expansion of the Multimedia Cockpit. The primary display has a size of 30.5 cm (12.3 inches) and permits a choice between two screen designs. It also includes a navigation system, Traffic Sign Assist and Remote Online for the control of various vehicle functions via the smartphone.

The multifunction steering wheel with Touch Control buttons enhances ergonomics and ease of operation.

With the high-quality remote control key, the vehicle can be conveniently opened or locked from a distance of up to 50 metres. The radio remote control works from any direction so there is no need to point it directly at the vehicle.

Living and sleeping comfort.

For a restful break.

Anyone working in long-distance transport and using their own cab as a mobile home needs a great deal of comfort for living and sleeping during breaks. And with its extremely comfortable bunks, the Actros delivers both.

Content living sleeping comfort 03 — **Shaving mirror.** The mirror is in the co-driver stowage compartment above the windscreen and can be hung (by the hook on its back) or stood upright as required.

Content living sleeping comfort 05 — **Mattresses.** Restful sleep is assured by the 7-zone cold-foam comfort mattress. Even greater comfort is provided by the optional PremiumComfort multizone mattress which is available for both the upper and the lower bed.

Stowage facilities.

The optional folding table is integrated in the dashboard and can be folded out and in again quickly for working or eating.

Drawers.

In addition to various stowage compartments and trays, the versatile storage concept of the Actros also includes several options for integrating drawers, for example under the dashboard or under the bunk – depending on the cab, it is also possible to integrate a refrigerator here.

Radio infotainment system²⁶².

The Actros comes as standard with an integrated radio infotainment system. A digital radio featuring Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB+) is also optionally available. Numerous connection options are available for integrating external devices.

Content Actros comfort radio navi — Inductive charging cradle currently unavailable.

In conjunction with Truck Navigation for truck-specific, dynamic route guidance and Live Traffic Information, Traffic Sign Assist is also standard. Navigation data is shown on the secondary Multi-Touch Display.

In combination with the Classic Cockpit, the multimedia radio with 17.7 cm colour display can be operated intuitively using the touchscreen and offers a wide range of comfort features. These include the Bluetooth interface for hands-free calling and audio streaming, as well as convenient access to smartphone content via Apple CarPlay and MirrorLink.

For easier handling and better voice quality, the Actros can be equipped with the Convenience Telephony Plus and a mobile phone cradle. An external telephone aerial and the integrated hands-free set with dual Bluetooth, to which up to two mobile phones can be connected, ensure perfect transmission quality. Wireless charging for smartphones of up to 6 inches (15.2 cm) via the mobile phone cradle.

Thanks to the digital receiver, terrestrial digital DAB and DAB+ programmes can also be received in addition to conventional radio programmes. Therefore, depending on the country, a large selection of other stations in CD quality is available. Other advantages include excellent reception characteristics and valuable additional information, for example on the radio programme.
